Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital last week. They were so excited and did so well! They were lucky to have quite an audience too. Grandma and Grandpa Halling came to town and Grandma Lindy and Grandpa Jim, as well as Great Grandma Carol, all attended.
Allie was mad to be in white. She thought Cami's outfit was prettier. She also didn't like her fluffy tutu and she let me know it several times. She is a the quintessential younger sister, all ways wanting what the older one has. I on the other hand thought they both looked adorable and that their costumes were a perfect fit for them both.

She has batman in her hand in these pictures. I love her love for superheroes.

Isn't the picture above cute. I love her pose. I took way to many pictures this night. I love their hair pulled up, so you can see their sweet little faces and something about little girls in tutus just melts my heart.

Here is Allie with her best friend and coconspirator Ava.
Allie was so funny during the dance. She tries to be graceful and dramatic by looking down and moving slow. She wasn't exactly in sync!

Giggles with Ava.
This is Allie's dramatic face.

Nearly every picture had Allie doing something different than the rest of her class. When she wasn't being "graceful" she was yawning.
They had a dancer join them on stage and as she passed Allie, Allie reached up with a grin to touch her pretty skirt. Her dance was memorable and adorable, she had all of the grandparents laughing.
Nearly everything about the girls personalities were summed up in their dances. Allie was silly, dramatic, and even bored. She followed some of the dance moves and at other times completely did her own thing.
Cami on the other hand got on the stage and immediately began shushing the girls around her. Grandma says telling a girl she's bossy is bad for their esteem. We will just say she was a very pushy leader, literally. After shushing her friends she started pushing them into their proper places. She stared at her teacher the whole time and worked very hard at staying on beat. Giving it her very best, as she always does.

Look of concentration

Dad surprised his girls with flowers after. They were thrilled. It was really a fun night. I'm so happy to be the mom of these two sweet and completely different girls. Let's hope we survive the teenage years!
