Isaac's Grandma lives in Mantua. For those who don't know it's a little town in the middle of Sardine canyon, between Logan and Brigham City. I had never spent any time there until meeting Isaac, but it has a special spot in my heart now. We go there nearly every 4th of July and Christmas.
The town holds a celebration at the church house on Christmas Day. They have musical numbers and Santa comes. It's a tradition nearly as old as the town itself. Each person who comes gets a raffle ticket and if your number is called you get to go see Santa and get a prize.
Last year Santa delivered Allies Christmas Day wish a purple baby. Which was good because she sprung it on me last minute :)
Cami was so anxious!
She twisted her necklace and watched painfully as her sister and cousins each went up.
Allie went up right away. I was surprised. She was sitting with her Uncle, who also looked quite surprised. Come to find out later, she just waltzed up with no ticket. Haha
Poor Cami waited and waited in agony.
Until finally, one of our tickets was called!
Hooray!
Even Tommy got a turn
We visited Grandma after, she is one of the sweetest women I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
This is the Hallling family crew, and all of the grandkids.
We sang a few Christmas carols and read the Christmas story before opening presents together. Cami didn't fail to disappoint in her wonderful rendition of "Angles we have heard on high" she has the Gloria part down.
We love getting together with the family! Watching the kids giving and receiving presents is beyond fun. I love seeing their joy at such sweet little things. It's fun to be establishing new traditions and enjoying old ones.
