Last year we planned a bike trip to St. George with our friends the Aardemas. It turned out to be so much fun. So when they called and said they were headed to St. George for a soccer tournament in January we were ready to come along. We left Allie and Tommy with Grandma to make for an easier trip. This is the view of their van from behind. Too funny!
Last year we went in April and it was sunny swim weather. In January it's still pretty cold. That didn't stop the kids from jumping in the pool and running back to the hot tub though. I was really suprised to see Cami do it. It made me realize she's growing up!
We had manicures done for the little girls. Cami loved hers, until the manicurist asked if she liked zebras and proceeded to stripe her perfect nails. She bawled when we got out of the salon and every time she looked at her previously perfect nails thereafter.
We rode our bikes on some rolling hills. Cami got off to a rough start. Once she found some at her comfort level, she had a lot of fun.
We hiked around Dixie rock one day. It was the warmest day there and felt great to be out in the sun!
We ran into our friends the Wilson's, who were there for the tournament too. It was really fun to see them and catch up. They came to the narrows with us. Chad gave it a valiant effort but his rib-cage just wouldn't contract quite enough to fit! Brittany and I waited till he retreated before entering. I learned from last time, it's a lot more claustrophobic if your following someone who is a "tight" fit!
I had a camera and quickly became the designated photographer, here are some of our group shots!
